MAN publishes GRI Report 2015
For the sixth time, MAN is issuing a comprehensive and transparent report in line with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for its stakeholders to summarize its sustainability activities in 2015. Sustainable value creation is an important basis for the Company’s global activities. This also includes a systematic CR management and transparent reporting.
“In 2015, MAN managed to implement further effective measures for sustainable development,” says Peter Attin, who has been Head of Corporate Responsibility at MAN SE since April 2016. “We have come a step closer in reaching our climate goal for production — a 25% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2020. Compared to the baseline year of 2008, we have cut the carbon footprint by 19.5%.”
As part of our corporate strategy, the CR Strategy 2020+ defines objectives and initiatives which are linked to the CR cornerstones of Production, Products, People, and Integration. Along these four cornerstones, the GRI Report informs about where the Company stands in terms of implementing its CR Strategy 2020+.
This report meets the standards of the G4, the current version of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). It was prepared in accordance with the GRI G4 Core option and outlines MAN’s activities in line with the United Nations Global Compact’s ten principles of corporate responsibility. We have had our KPIs verified by an independent firm of auditors.
The MAN CR Journal provides additional information on sustainability with a clear summary and explanations; this publication will be available for download as a PDF and in print as of the end of July 2016.
