Publication of MAN Corporate Responsibility Report 2014 with partner SOS Children’s Village
The CR Report 2014 is characterized by global challenges: With its “CR Strategy 2020+” MAN tackles important topics, such as climate change or increasing urbanization. This year the Company chose a special place to present its report to the public: the SOS Children’s Village in Dießen, Germany. On the occasion of the non-profit association’s 60th anniversary MAN invited around 80 participants to lake Ammersee.
With its “CR Strategy 2020+” MAN places a stronger emphasis on the supply chain, the service life of products, and the issue of intelligent mobility.
In terms of responsibility, MAN was quite successful in 2014. The Company managed a 19-percent reduction in CO2 emissions at production sites compared to 2008. MAN’s energy-efficient commercial vehicles and products were met with great interest by the international expert audience.
MAN for the first time charted a new course in presenting its sustainability strategy in an online report. The website cr-report2014.man.eu features a large variety of interesting facts, site examples, and international impressions for readers.
The company also took on corporate responsibility in social matters. MAN and SOS Children’s Village have been partners for many years. On the occasion of SOS Children’s Village’s 60th anniversary in Germany, MAN invited participants to Ammersee-Lech. Among the special guests were 30 children and caregivers from the SOS Children’s Village.
After welcoming the guests and presenting the Corporate Responsibility Report, the participants were able to explore the SOS Children’s Village and get to know the various facilities and offers. Later on, MAN’s fire brigade presented its fire engines and rounded off the very informative day with an exciting show.
