This year’s CR Report under the headline “What drives us” is split into three formats according to target groups. Apart from implementing its CR Strategy 2020+, the CR Report 2015 focuses on digitization and MAN’s refugee initiative.

MAN publishes GRI Report 2015

For the sixth time, MAN is issuing a comprehensive and transparent report in line with the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) for its stakeholders to summarize its sustainability activities in 2015. Sustainable value creation is an important basis for the Company’s global activities. This also includes a systematic CR management and transparent reporting.

MAN refugee aid: Hope for people in need

MAN takes on responsibility – for people who had to flee their home country. MAN and its employees are jointly supporting various relief organizations for refugee aid in Germany. This includes emergency relief and long-term measures, such as education projects. The selected projects are both aimed at meeting the most urgent needs but also at creating long-term perspectives for refugees to help in a sustainable way.


Distinctly sustainable

MAN not only enthuses customers and employees with responsibility but also numerous jury members of renowned awards. Apart from winning the Annual Multimedia Award and the European Transport Prize for Sustainability (Europäischer Transportpreis für Nachhaltigkeit) in two categories, MAN has also received the renowned European Excellence Award.

SOS Children’s Villages family center supported by MAN Diesel & Turbo

In March this year, MAN Diesel & Turbo and the SOS Children’s Villages family center in Augsburg, Hochfeld, entered into a partnership. Apart from financial support, the main focus is on corporate volunteering, where employees volunteer within the cooperation framework.

Prince Joachim of Denmark inaugurates Test Centre Frederikshavn

MDT in Frederikshavn, Denmark invited the world inside to see their refurbished, state-of-the-art maritime test center under the motto ”Our Testing Warms You Up” on 22 September 2015. Waste energy from engine testing is the main protagonist in Test Centre Frederikshavn’s heat recycling system.

Disaster Protection Instead of Occupational Protection

Wolfgang Pentz has been working with MAN Diesel & Turbo in Augsburg for 37 years. In spring 2015 he swapped his protection helmet for a pith helmet and helped fight Ebola in Liberia.


MAN Lion’s City GL CNG

Climate-friendly and economical –
MAN bus named “Bus of the Year 2015”

The MAN Lion’s City GL CNG municipal bus was awarded the “Bus of the Year 2015” title at the IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014 – one of the most coveted trophies in the bus industry. The articulated gas-driven bus wowed the paned of international trade journalists in the “Bus Euro Test.” Its Euro 6 CNG engine offers an extremely low-emission climate-friendly mobility option for city transportation that is also economical.
