Corporate Responsibility at MAN

Clean, Safe, Caring – Driving Responsible Transport

The transport of people and goods is changing fundamentally - driven by the need for sustainable development and the opportunities of a digitally networked world. MAN is part of this transformation and is playing a decisive role in shaping it.

It is our task to shape this transformation responsibly. We want to make a positive contribution to society. And we want to make it easy for our customers to meet their responsibilities.

Our vision is an MAN without greenhouse gas and pollutant emissions and without accidents on the road and in production.

For MAN, future sustainability means understanding global challenges and recognizing the opportunities and risks for sustainable development to save our commercial success. We consciously address the expectations by our customers, policymakers, and society as a whole and offer concrete responses. An essential point for us in this matter is to always place our focus on the people. We are strongly guided by the Sustainable Development Goals and the UN Global Compact, which we have been part of since 2010.

CR strategy

Corporate responsibility (CR) has been an integral part of MAN’s corporate strategy since 2010. MAN’s CR strategy is a response to the global and economic challenges which are most crucial for our business. This means we are able to identify risks and opportunities arising from these challenges early on and can react to them accordingly. In doing so, we assume responsibility along the entire value chain. In terms of content, there are five areas of activity:

  • Products
  • Production
  • Supply chain
  • People
  • Society and integrity
