Dr. Matthias Schreiber heading new MAN Engines business unit
Responsible for leading the management team of the new business unit and bundling expertise to provide customers with added value
Since 1 January 2018, Dr. Matthias Schreiber has been the Head of MAN Engines, which was set up as a separate business unit within the group at the start of the year. As such, he will be responsible for the engines and components business of MAN Truck & Bus AG. In his new position, he will have strategic and operational responsibility and thus ensure better business and market management. As Head of MAN Engines, he will chair the team of managers responsible for the four divisions of Strategy & Projects, Development, Sales and Controlling at the international centre of excellence in engines in Nuremberg.
Forty-one-year-old Matthias Schreiber graduated in agricultural engineering from Hohenheim University before completing a PhD in fuel consumption by agricultural machines. He subsequently worked at AGCO, the world’s third-largest manufacturer of agricultural machinery, where he headed various departments, from product management and marketing to product development. Most recently, he was responsible for the introduction in Switzerland of a global platform and module strategy as well as for product and project planning and project management. Matthias Schreiber will report to Dr. Ulrich Dilling, the Executive Board Member for Production & Logistics of MAN Truck & Bus AG.
