DNV Certifies ME-engine course

The MAN Diesel two-stroke, ME-engine training course has now been certified in accordance with Den Norske Veritas Standard for Certification of Learning Programmes (No. 3.201).

The certification is a part of MAN Diesel PrimeServ’s continuous strategy to ensure uniformity and high quality in its training courses.

Tom Ballegaard, Head of Qualification Standards, After-sales, MAN Diesel PrimeServ Academies, said: “The DNV certification is an important step for us in our efforts to increase the quality of all our training courses, as well as to ensure that all our courses maintain the same high standard, regardless of training location.

He continued: “We nominated the ME-engine training course as the first for certification due to the PrimeServ Academies’ focus on the importance of training engine crews in new technology. Our long-term goal is to implement an ISO 9001 quality management system here in the PrimeServ Academies.”
